“If I could save time in a bottle…”

“…The first thing that I’d like to do
Is to save every day ’til eternity passes away
Just to spend them with you…”

Day 1: HAWMC – Time Capsule:

Pretend you’re making a time capsule of you & your health focus that won’t be opened until 2112. What’s in it? What would people think of it when they found it?

One hundred years from today.

I’ve been long gone…as have my children…perhaps theirs as well?  Or, maybe a few stragglers of genetic awesomeness still live to reconstitute the family tree.

There’s a box, inside another box, like one of those fandagled Yule presents your mother laughing wraps in eleventy-billion boxes, each bigger than the next.

Inside the box in a round, flat canister…kinda odd…oldish…tarnished in a distressed kind of way….

…kinda like someone might have taken some of her Adirondack Alcohol Inks from her scrapbooking stash and altered the damn thing.

Cuz I’m badass like that.

Inside you will find the 8mm film reel.

You will have to try to find somehow to play it.

Because nothing about my life was EVER damn easy.

As an only child, I wasn’t a Silver Spoon girl…more like a Sink or Swim girl!

You’d see the various places I’ve lived as a air force brat.  You’d see the loneliness of never having a sibling.  You’d see the frabjous-ness that was all things birthday and Yule…cuz I was the only kid *grin*.

You’d also see the horror of The Night, and wondered how many other women were never so “lucky”.  You’d see a string of academic achievements.  You’d see a woman raising five children on her own.

You’d then see the pain and the humour…a dialogue of events so unreal, so unbelievable, that Oprah herself would never imagine….of pills and appointments, of grief and exultation, of hospitals and home life, of sorrow and blessings.

And you would laugh and cry and be angry and astonished.

You would see how I named my “chronic afflictions” with varying titles of recognition.

You would also see how I popped pills that helped with my heart, but shut down my kidneys.  That were frabjous for my diabetes, but negated the use of other medications to help anything else.

How does it all turn out for me?!

Did I finally succumb to total kidney failure?

Did someone, somewhere, find a plant in the jungles of the Congo and create a cure for all things autoimmune because it’s cultivation coincided with the solar eclipse of the twenty-third moon of Jupiter?!?

Trailers never you give you the answer, silly!!

Nope, you’ll have to endeavour to find and display my made-for-tv-movie kind of life! 😉

*This film is not yet rated.  It may contain explicit badassery, frequent coarse language, use of the middle-finger salute and/or awesomeness too vivid to observe without sunglasses.
