“Write a haiku about your health focus. 5 syllables/7 syllables/5 syllables. Write as many as you like.”
Are you kidding me?
(O.O)
What in the blue hell made someone issue a call out for a “haiku” in our challenge posts?!? I know…someone who wanted to see if we were actually paying attention, I reckon. Someone who knew I’d have a double ear infection that makes it sound like I’ve got the entirety of Whoville playing a symphony within the confines of my brain neurons…
A haiku. 5 syllables/7 syllables/5 syllables.
Uh, okay then…
Here’s one:
Awareness seeking
Transcending social stigma
Stepping stones to health
Here’s another one:
Can you not see me
I’m tripping on ignorance
Silent screams each day
Now I’m starting to get all grumbly cuz I’m almost out of Halls and Strepsils and I can’t just write one haiku because then I would feel like I’m shafting people who take the time to come and visit me in my blog which really ticks me off but really merely masks the issue that I don’t even know how these friggin’ poetry things even work…
*takes a breath*
So, as I’m logging off to work on some centrepieces for the reception by hot gluing little fake birdies to moss inside of lanterns, I’ll leave you with one more, as I gaze upon my man hammering D-rings and rivets into leather to make belts for all of the boys’ tunics:
Wonderfully loving
A man of worth in my life
Love healing through pain
If you end up with a Halls or a Strepsil in your centrepiece, not my fault. 😉
Those are good! I especially like the one about your husband and the one about tripping on ignorance. Some days I just have to shake my head. If you watch the news at all, you should pick up on some of these things!
If you liked your haiku experience at all, pop over to my site.

Thank you, lovely!! I popped on over and bookmarked your blog…I love reading other people’s interpretations of life experiences, especially written. So very appreciative of your time here on mine! xo
Those were all very awesome, especially that last one. Such a challenge those haikus and rose up to mett them. 🙂 Badass style
